And so.... I was quiet for a long while.... unemployment (fer the last eight months or so, been taking some freelance though) have taking it's toll (though plenty of free time, but i din fully utilize it for either real life issues or hobby), anyhoo..... ima bek (with a new job, and moar hobby)

Meet Dropzone Commander... my new venture on the hobby side, invested a small fortune and procured a 1500 pt worth of army, finally, after a long hiatus, I've painted up a test model (Scourge, see, I always have a thing for bad guy).

I'm going to paint it H.R Giger style, and the best thing is, the above model is not primed and i just apply some wash on it and then go crazy, my main inspiration is...guess what... a cockroach.

Comment away, and let me know what do you think about the color scheme (sorry, the photo is not really taken under the best lighting and it might looks a little pale)

Yeah, for some reason I paint the mouth to look like Apocalypse in X-Men...

Two moar dudes to paint, but I guess they will be shelf and make way for my daemon prince below for next week's throwdown.

Update of my (lack of)progress for Throwdown 3...

Two termi painted, highly doubt I could make it, still in JB hometown too.

Will try to finish the termi champion and try to cheat again by remote submit bare minimum of one unit.

People says when you fail to achieve something, put up cute baby picture to distract other, so:

Legio Army Throwdown - Night Lord - Army Display Board

I have two more marines to paint but I'm really sick of painting power armor already... yesterday went out to meet with friends and drop by mid-valley (the garden) to procure some material for army display board, spent about 2 hours on and off last night to assemble the thing...

(For some unknown reason, those two pool of white glue look annoyingly obscene)

Cover the polystyrene with paper clay (it smells funny...), code my pocket money project until 3am while waiting it to be dry and then goto sleep

Based coated the stuff earlier while continue coding....

started to paint the rocky wall beside and the base...

A little bit of work on the building and it's done

placed some of my previously painted Black Legion CSM dudes to gauge the look and feel.

You might say, huh? Done?? it looks very blacky! Actually instead of going for everything painted and leaving no black kind of look, I wanted this piece to present a moody atmosphere which I think will fit Night Lords well. 

In front of a ruin building in a windy foggy night with dim moonlight, the Night Lords sneakily trying to advance and prowl the unfortunate victim.

Heading to dinner and then to coding, till next time folks.

ps: C&C needed for the display board, since I am slightly ahead of schedule on both painting and coding, I might be able to improve it.

Night Lord Banner

Was burnt out painting infantry... so I get my lazy arse to work on a banner, found the below online and wanna do a "clone" of it...

Okey.. maybe minus all those wording which is impossible to paint =P But then I realize that I already have  a winged skull on top of the banner... so, the below abomination was born...

Errr... can anyone figure out what is on the banner? it's still WIP by the way...

Legio Throwdown - Troop Choice 2 WIP

Assembled my final few pieces for taking part in Legio Malaysia Army Throwdown 2013, this is the second troop choice that I have in my army list, differ from previous bolter toting look, for this squad, I'm going for a fully close combat look.

Adjusted some chainsword gripping hand's angle, the original pose is abit stiff and static

Come at me bro!

I'm proud of this piece, never expect Berzerker's leg and head (I scrap off the "teeth" thingy, always find that fugly) could produce a dynamic pose, maybe I will sculpt this fella some floating long hair.

Some basing and priming, and they are ready to be paint =) I have about a month to work on them (for first deadline I will turn in the painted troop in previous post). Till next time.
